Poco importa si es sonidera, tropical, villera o digital. Lo que importa es bailarla frenéticamente hasta la muerte. O al menos, eso es lo que se plantea Ritmos Autómatas al reinterpretar un género como la cumbia: mecanizar el disfrute hasta dislocar nuestros sentidos, saturar la experiencia hasta que no nos quede otra que dejarnos llevar por el ritmo. Con esto, Dark Cumbias se nos revela como un acercamiento ruidoso e industrial a este tipo de baile, con el principal objetivo de hacernos disfrutar hasta perecer, como si de un baile de san Vito robotizado se tratara.

It doesn't matter if it's sonidera, tropical, villera or digital. What matters is dancing it frantically to death. Or at least, that is what Ritmos Autómatas proposes when reinterpreting a genre like cumbia: mechanize enjoyment until it dislocates our senses, saturate the experience until we have no choice but to let ourselves be carried away by the rhythm. With this, Dark Cumbias reveals itself as a noisy and industrial approach to this type of dance, with the main objective of making us enjoy until we perish, as if it were a robotized St. Vitus' dance.
